Nine Lakes Wine Festival, May 19-20, 2017

The first annual Nine Lakes Wine Festival will highlight the award-winning wines of East Tennessee. The Nine Lakes region of East Tennessee is home to nine TVA-made lakes, offering thousands of acres of clear waters and nature preserves, and a growing number of sun-drenched vineyards on our gently rolling hills.

Festival Schedule:

Winemakers Dinner, Friday evening, May 19, 6-10 p.m. – Calhoun’s Event Center, Oak Ridge. A selection of award-winning Tennessee wines will be paired with a gourmet meal at this stunning waterfront venue. A sommelier will introduce each wine, and beautiful live music will make your evening truly memorable. VIP speakers will be on hand to discuss the grape and wine industry in Tennessee. Award-winning wines will be available for purchase. Seating is limited.

Grand Tasting, Saturday, May 20, 1-6 p.m. Melton Lake Park – 20 Wineries, 100+ wines. Participants will get a complimentary tasting glass, wine tote, access to an abundance of small plate foods throughout the day, live music, free attendance at any of the 20-minute “winemaker seminars,” and enjoy an exciting “Barrels-of-Fun” Charity Race!

Barrels-of-Fun Charity Race, Saturday May 20 – 3-5 p.m. Watch winery-sponsored teams compete to be the “fastest barrel in the east” in this exciting barrel racing on a demanding course on the festival grounds. We expect 12 charity teams, and all will receive a portion of the gate proceeds for entering a team, plus winners get great prizes and bragging rights!

Join us for the Grand Tasting at Nine Lakes Wine Festival, featuring more than 100 wines and craft ciders from 20 Tennessee wineries! Plus you’ll enjoy live entertainment and great small plate foods as well. Chat with winemakers in one of our many free wine seminars throughout the day.
