Dinwiddie County is a community rich in history and heritage. The County holds the distinct honor of being home to more Civil War battles and skirmishes than any other county in the nation. In recognition of the 150th Civil War Sesquicentennial Anniversary the Dinwiddie County Sesquicentennial Committee will be celebrating “Dinwiddie Days” March 27th 2015 – April 2nd 2015.

Dinwiddie Days will be a week long event that will showcase the historic venues within the County such as, the Historic Dinwiddie Court House & Grounds, Pamplin Historical Park & the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier, Petersburg National Battlefield – Five Forks Unit, and Poplar Grove National Cemetery. The event will also feature numerous special events, activities, and programs presented by the County of Dinwiddie, the National Park Service, and Pamplin Historical Park.
